Ideas I’ve built. Ideas I’m still exploring.

I’ve always loved turning ideas into something real.

Some have become businesses. Others started as research, creative experiments or personal projects. Each one has shaped how I think about design, people and possibilities.

What I’m building

Where curiosity has taken me.

Ki

My first little business. A big learning experience.

Ki started with my love for illustration and creating things people could use in everyday life.

I developed original illustrations and patterns inspired by nature, bringing them into physical products such as pouches, bags and accessories.

It was my first experience taking something from an idea to a real product and brand. From design and production to exploring what people liked, Ki taught me a lot about creativity, entrepreneurship and everything that happens beyond the design process.

It’s a project very close to my heart, and one I continue to imagine new possibilities for.

Growing together with design.

For my Master’s thesis, I explored how design and creativity could empower communities to address local challenges.

Inspired by the aftermath of Ecuador’s 2016 earthquake, I developed a participatory design concept using co-creation, collaborative workshops and creative tools adapted to the community of Tabuga.

The project reflects something I still believe today: good design begins with understanding people and creating space for their ideas.

Souvenir line for Parque Nacional Cajas: bird patterns on bags, pouches, packaging and phone skins

Parque Nacional Cajas

Repositioning a national park through design.

The challenge: help local visitors see Cajas, a UNESCO biosphere reserve, as a place that gives them clean water, fresh air and incredible biodiversity, and inspire respect on every visit.

The idea: instead of just another campaign, a line of souvenirs sold in shops around Cuenca. Each design is inspired by an icon of the park, like the masked trogon or the grey-breasted mountain toucan. The packaging tells the story of each animal and links to more information through a QR code.

Around it: an educational campaign with advertising, packaging, a stand, teasers, billboards and video.

My role: research, concept, visual and product design. Tested with students, with positive results.

It taught me about positioning and how design can change perception.

What’s next? I’m curious too.

I’m always learning, exploring and imagining what could become possible. Have an idea or something interesting you’d like to share?
